As the concept of precision medicine has captured the public’s imagination and spurred huge investments, the best precision medicine success stories have come from the world of cancer therapies. Over the past several years, targeted therapies and immuno-oncology drugs have led to previously unimaginable improvements in patient outcomes and quality-of- life for certain types of cancer. This session will feature an interactive conversation on the scientific, business and human stories behind the recent successes and the emerging biotech/pharma pipeline. What discoveries are setting the stage for the next wave of future therapies? How are the unique voices and perspectives of patients influencing the discovery process? What lessons can oncology teach us about broader application of precision medicine approaches? Join us for a thought-provoking exchange of ideas between audience members and speakers who represent diverse aspects of the oncology discovery community.
